Contest!

Using the SkyStorm Studios characters of Christiana Blood and
Tamara Rose, the challenge is to pencil a print (that will be
11x17) utilizing the elements of the two characters facing off
against a Minotaur. Balance the charging/attacking Minotaur with
the Time Agents attacking, etc. Dangling from a chain necklace is
a shard of the TimeStone.
The winning pencil drawing will be inked by either me (Bill
Nichols) or Bob Hickey. The entries will be judged by a panel of
pros that will rank their top three choices and with luck, offer
some opinions of praise and/or constructive criticism.
The big prize: To be printed in Sketch Magazine and
a pack of Blue Line Pro Bristol.
There may be several printed in Sketch, to show off
some of the other talent.
This contest is open to EVERYONE, so the more, the merrier,
from every level, including pros. So, spread the word. Challenge
your friends. Get some buzz going.

Issue #41 will feature an interview with painter extraordinary
Alex Ross. Bill Love discusses this creator’s thoughts on the
digital media and much more. Actually, there was so much more that
we will be launching our new Sketch Magazine podcast with
parts of the original interview.

Magazine Returns in July 2010

 Sketch
#40 will ship in August, 2010. We've had many interruptions in the
production of this issue, but it's in the house and being prepared
to print right now. With this issue we will be offering a digital
version for download at bluelinedigital.com to all subscribers. It will
also be available to purchase as a digital version. The cost of
overprinting and warehousing is making it impossible to keep Sketch
back issues available, so with this issue we will only
overprint what we can sell in a year.
